Meydan has built its company formation process around digital applications. The regular business license generally takes around 3-5 days. The Fawri route is designed to issue the license within 60 minutes.
A Flexi Desk is included with the standard setup. Businesses can move to more dedicated workspace solutions according to their operational requirements afterwards.
Meydan allows businesses to add visa allocations based on their requirements. Current packages can support up to six visa allocations under one license.
Meydan offers two main processing routes for company formation. The right option depends on how quickly you need your license and how you plan to structure your business.
The Regular License follows the standard company formation process and generally takes 3–5 days. It is suitable for businesses with teams or multiple partners. The Regular route also provides access to 2,500+ business activities and allows up to three activity groups under one license.
The Fawri License is Meydan's fast-track digital option. It can be issued in under 60 minutes when the required conditions are met. It is suitable for solo founders and businesses that want to complete their setup quickly.
Once you choose the processing route, you need to select a business activity that matches what your company will do. Meydan offers activities across commercial, professional, and e-commerce sectors.
This license is suitable for businesses that deal with physical goods. Under commercial licenses, businesses can be involved in importing, exporting, or distributing products. Businesses involved in eligible light manufacturing activities can also explore the relevant commercial options.
A Professional License is designed for businesses that provide services or expertise. It can cover activities such as consulting, management services, IT development, and digital marketing.
An E-commerce License is designed for businesses that operate online. It can be suitable for online stores and dropshipping businesses. The activity should reflect the products or services you plan to sell through your online business.
The Meydan setup cost depends on your license type and the additional services your business requires. Typically, the Meydan license cost starts from AED 12,500 for the standard company formation package. Founders who need the faster Fawri route can start from AED 15,000.

For an individual shareholder setup, the core documents generally include:
Corporate shareholders and branches may need additional corporate documents such as constitutional documents and board resolutions. The exact checklist should therefore be confirmed before submitting the application.
A Meydan visa can be added based on your residency and staffing requirements. The main options include visas for business owners, employees, and eligible family members.
This visa is designed for business owners and shareholders who want UAE residency through their Meydan company. Meydan states that an Investor or Partner Visa requires at least AED 50,000 in declared share capital.
An employment visa allows your Meydan company to sponsor eligible employees. Visa allocation is required before the employment visa process can proceed.
A valid UAE resident can sponsor eligible family members such as a spouse and children. Meydan also provides dependent visa processing support through its residency services.
A Golden Visa is a separate long-term UAE residency route for eligible categories. It is not automatically included with a Meydan company setup.
Meydan Free Zone companies are subject to the UAE Corporate Tax framework. A Free Zone company may qualify for 0% Corporate Tax on Qualifying Income when it meets the conditions applicable to a Qualifying Free Zone Person.
Income that does not qualify can be subject to the standard Corporate Tax rate under UAE rules. Businesses should also maintain proper accounting records and meet applicable tax registration and filing obligations.
You can establish a Meydan Free Zone company without becoming a UAE resident. Meydan's Non-Resident License is designed for founders who want to establish a UAE business remotely. This can be useful for international entrepreneurs who want a Dubai business presence while continuing to live outside the UAE.
Company formation and UAE residency are separate processes. If you later decide to relocate or manage the business from the UAE, the relevant residence visa can be added based on your eligibility and company requirements.
A fast license is useful only when the structure behind it works for your business. DART takes a business-first approach to Meydan Free Zone company setup.
We help you understand the activity options and select a license structure that fits your ownership and visa requirements.
